Something about me ...

I was born in 1984 into a family with no pets at all. Since I was a little girl, I pet other peoples dogs and taking them for a walk. We were going to have a wheaten terrier but then we found out that my mom and I were allergic to dogs. Neather of us has ever got any symptons but my parents desided not have a dog anyway. It's easier to not have a puppy than have a puppy and then found out the symptoms and give the puppy away.. It wasn't easy to be "dogless" child but fortunately there were many dog in the neighbourhood to play with.

When I was 15-16 years old I got the worst "dogfever"! I spend lots of time in library to study differend breeds and breed historys. There was at least 200 breeds I knew by heart! Then one day, spring 1998 I saw it! Chinese Crested, hairless and powderpuff. They look surreal and so magical. I didn't give that any more attention becouse I thougt that there were no chance at all for me having a chinese crested.. Next day I found out who these cresteds were.. Finnish bred cresteds! I haven't even tought that here, in finland, would be chinese cresteds. I was still living with my parents so I tought that when I move away, I would find out more about this breed..

At the end of 2001, internet has taken place in everyday life. It was easier to study pedigrees and offsprings, health, shows and lots of stuff.. I had enough gourage to e-mail some breeders and asking things about cresteds.. Two years later I was living on my own and desided to have a hairless dog. I search and search untill spring 2004 I got an e-mail for Leila (kennel Hebblas) and she told that 3 hairless girls were born last night.. I was so happy and thrilled that I may have cried just a littlebit ;) 7 weeks later we brought a little naked babygirl in to our home. Nuu-Nuu was everything that I imagined. I just knew that this is it, this is my dream come true, the love of my life..

Becouse of Nuu-Nuu I get really exited about shows and breeding, pedigrees, illnesses and that sort of issues. I signed up for breeders class and pass through it in autumn 2005. Finally I got my kennelname year later. We'll see when we can welcome our first Selfcersteem's litter in to this world.

Dalin moved in to our home and hearts at the end of autumn 2006. We are starting shows at spring '07 and let's see how things go from that on.. Thank You Birgit for this gremlin! ;)
